Duo Corina & Anton

Aerial, acrobatics



Ukrainian-born Anton and Swiss-born Corina have been successful performing internationally as aerial and floor acrobats since 2017. They both started out as musical performers and dancers before beginning their career together. They have appeared on Swiss television SRF 1 several times, including in the final of the talent show "Stadt, Land, Talent", and have appeared in a number of variety shows, performed at galas and other events, traveled the world on various cruise ships, and were recently part of the famous Domstufenfestspiele in Erfurt, Germany.
The duo's act is characterized by elegance and agility, combined with a sensibility for interacting with music. Corina & Anton fascinate with their charm and pure grace, performing sophisticated techniques and demonstrating breathtaking body control to perfection. Artfully staged and accompanied by beautiful music, they enchant audiences from high above.
Marceau Bidal

Born near Paris, Marceau Bidal began his activities in the circus arts at the age of 4, studying at the Cherche-Trouve Circus School in Cergy. Having always been attracted to working in stage management, he obtained his communications degree from the University of Paris in 2019 to work as a producer for shows and events.
Ultimately, the call of the stage later led him to join the National Circus School of Montreal, from which he graduated in June 2023. It was here at this prestigious school that Marceau created and developed a new aerial apparatus: the Asymmetrical Straps.
Upon completion of his training, Marceau was quickly noticed for his accomplishments, and was invited to participate in "France's Got Talent," where he ascended as a finalist in the 18th season. As well as working with Cirque du Soleil multiple times, he has also been awarded a special prize at the 15th International Circus Festival of Budapest.
Matthieu Larose

Matthieu Larose is a new and emerging artist from Canada, who has been passionately involved in acrobatic performance since he was a child. With experience performing at several festivals in Europe, Matthieu is familiar with the world stage despite his young age.
Specializing in hand-to-hand, hoop diving, acro dance and Cyr wheel, Matthieu combines speed and power with an odd and dynamic sensibility, creating an act that impresses viewers on every stage he appears, ensuring that the audience leaves each show with a smile on their faces.

Contortion, hand-to-hand, acrobatics


Duo Des Articulés, composed of Marine Buridant and Alexandre Astruc, was established in Paris in 2018 to become what is now a truly distinctive partnership in contortion, handbalancing, and acrobatics. Their backgrounds – one as a former engineer, the other as a cinema decorator – may seem disparate, yet together they have embarked on an extraordinary journey into the circus world.
Their performances have graced renowned French venues such as Le Trianon, Folies Bergères, Casino de Paris, and UNESCO. Internationally, they have impressed audiences at prestigious events such as the Bal des Doges during the Venice Carnival, where they were praised by designer Antonia Sauter as among the world's best. They duo has also showcased its talents at circus festivals in Italy, Germany, China, and Australia as well.
What sets the Duo Des Articulés apart is their unmatched ability to captivate spectators with boundless creativity, technical excellence, and captivating storytelling through movement – a universal language that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, leaving a lasting impact wherever they perform.

● Svitlana Shlikhter
While a professional ballet dancer at the Serge Lifar Dance Academy in Kiev, she performed at the National Theater as a soloist, participating in several competitions pertaining to both classic and modern dance styles. After her graduation, she continued by appearing in performances at the Lviv National Opera for a period of two years.
● Kostiantyn Tsapryka
Having graduated from the Serge Lifar Dance Academy in Kyiv, he began his career at the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in 2015. In 2019, he performed at the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, named after M. V. Lysenko. He has toured in various countries, including the United States, Japan, Europe, and Canada, having performed in several major roles.

Juggling


As two jugglers hailing from Switzerland and Taiwan, Isaline and Yu-yin bring together a fusion of diverse cultures in their unique object manipulation act. Isaline dazzles with her ball juggling, using not only her hands and feet, but her entire body. Meanwhile Yu-yin's mesmerizing diabolo performances create dynamic and unexpected surprises.
When united, a spectacular and unusual show unfolds. Balls and diabolos soar through the air as the pair's arms and legs intertwine, creating intricate patterns of strings and sticks. Their bodies dance in harmony, a seamless blend of skill and artistry. A constant exchange of objects occurs; sometimes juggling balls and diabolos move together, or perhaps a single object is all that is shared.
Isaline and Yu-yin are innovators in their transformation of traditional juggling props, asking questions while creating both curiosity and comedy. What if a diabolo could be split in half to become a ball? Can diabolo sticks be eaten? What could you do with the longest pair of diabolo sticks? These intriguing thoughts drive what becomes their unique and captivating performance.
Daniela Maier

Daniela Maier graduated from the Academy of Circus and Performance Art in Tilburg, Netherlands. Now based in Munich, she found her way into the circus world after years of training in rhythmic gymnaticss, and has since 2014 been active on the stage as a handbalancer, hula hoop performer, contortionist, aerialist, and acrobat.
A passionate multidisciplinary circus artist, Daniela demonstrates impressive technical skill, grace, strength, and flexibility. Inspired by the infinite possibility of circus – always curious about where it has yet to go - she is constantly striving to elevate her work to the next level.
With an open energy towards the audience, Daniela seeks connection on a human level, inviting others to enjoy the endlessly fantastical world of circus.
She has performed worldwide, including in events such as ‘Porsche’, ‘Cirque de Glace’ in Saudi Arabia, or the dinner show ‘teatro’ and ‘GOP.’ in Germany.

GENESIS was founded by Kyoto and Shiga-based baton twirler Seishi Inagaki, who is known for achieving 23 gold medal accolades in world championship events, and for his involvement with Cirque du Soleil.
Since GENESIS's formation, the group has gone on to receive perfect scores by a full panel for two world championships in a row, while also having received the Prime Minister's Award.

Tricking, acrobatics


Takuma has been captivated by the free-form movement art of tricking for nearly a decade - through his own unique mesmerizing tricking style that combines acrobatics with martial arts, he leaves audiences and spectators in awe.
Active as both a professional athlete and performer, he has demonstrated his skills on the stage for years, and presented himself at the 2019 World Championship of Tricking.
FALCON

Tap dance, pantomime, juggling


Inspired by professional performers from early childhood, Falcon developed an interest in magic and pantomime at the age of three. Driven by the desire to make people smile, he then made his stage debut at the age of seven, then performing at numerous locations. After moving to Tokyo, he trained under Shōzō Nakano of the pioneering Nakano Brothers in the Japanese tap dance scene, while also studying under HideboH, gaining essential experience in a variety of dance styles. His career also extends to work in commercials, music videos, and at theme parks. Furthermore, he has appeared in films such as Takeshi Kitano's "Neck" and Nobuhiko Obayashi's "Labyrinth of Cinema."
On the stage, Falcon combines an array of talents - tap, pantomime, magic, and juggling - for a performance that is vibrant, expressive, and comedic. A returning collaborator with Awaji Art Circus (having participated three times since 2021), his performances never fail to make people smile.

● Nelia Ivanova
She completed her education as a ballet dancer at the Odessa University of the Arts. After graduating, she performed as a dancer at the Lviv National Opera House for two years, and has also appeared in numerous well-known productions including The Nutcracker (as a soloist), Don Quixote, Giselle, Swan Lake, and Esmeralda.
● Mariia Vorokhobina
Born in Odessa, Ukraine. After graduating from the Kyiv Choreographic School, she earned a bachelor's degree at the National Dance Conservatory in Prague, Czech Republic. She later went on to perform as a professional ballet dancer with the Czech National Ballet and the Russian State Novosibirsk Ballet, where she took on several major roles.
Taro Kurachi

Currently active as a performing member of Awaji World Ballet, Taro has studied at multiple institutions abroad, including the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp in Belgium, the John Cranko School in Germany, and Ellison Ballet in the United States. He later joined the Belarusian National Bolshoi Ballet as a principal dancer.
His accolades include 1st place at the Youth America Grand Prix 2017 New York Finals, 1st place at the Youth America Grand Prix 2017 Boston Regional, and 1st place at Tanzolymp 2014, among others.

Kota Igarashi

Actor


Born in Tokyo, Kota began playing the taiko drum from the age of 6. He graduated from the Department of Psychology at Kanagawa University, playing the drums in a big band during his studies.
In 2017, he moved to Awaji Island where he debuted his acting career in Shaju Ei's work, "Awaji no Tsuki ni Chikau, where he played the roles of a taiko drummer, Tokoyo Maru, and Kanta. Since then, Kota's career has been characterized by playing multiple roles in single works - in "Dounikanarusā," he played the roles of Kengo Todoroki and a drummer; in "Aya to Rousoku no Mori," he performed the roles of Gobou, Enoki, and Marimos.
Aside from acting, he has also continued his connection withtaiko drumming on Awaji Island, having studied under Shuichiro Ueda.

Natsumi Kanamori

Hailing from Mie Prefecture, she graduated from the Osaka University of Arts with a major in Musical Theater. Her accolades include having received the Outstanding Leading Actress Award at the Osaka Student Theater Festival.
Currently, she works as an entertainer, primarily active within the Kansai region. With her versatile range of talents, she has performed in a number of vocal, dance, acting, and narrative roles spanning her career.

音楽島 -Music Island-
Music Band

August 2020 marked the beginning of the "Music Island" project, a new effort to revitalize Awaji Island through music. With an initial focus on Awaji Island's west coast, many events such as the "Ocean Terrace Jazz Night" and "Musical & Opera Night" have been held every week since September 2020.
Additionally, many events have been fronted by the backing band of singer Asato Shizuki, who has made appearances in Hello Kitty Show Box's character show, the September 2021 musical, "Dou ni ka narusa ~Kobe Jazz Monogatari~", and as a jazz band member in the December 2021 performance "IL Male ~Umi ni dakarete~".
With now over 50 musicians in residence, the Music Island project continues to attract art to Awaji Island and challenge the possibilities of new working lifestyles.

Kotan was created as a regional revitalization project on Awaji Island that unites young performers from all across the country.
The group is currently under the direction of Shuichiro Ueda, a Kobe-born taiko musician known domestically and abroad for his work with the group "Eitetsu Fu-un no Kai" (led by Eitetsu Hayashi), and as a prominent taiko soloist in various orchestral and kabuki performances.
Since its creation, Kotan has expanded its reach to include not only Awaji Island, but other locations throughout Kansai and Kanto; presenting a broad range of entertainment experiences through collaboration with live with ballet accompaniment and more.
